For individuals

Do I need to be ready to apply for a mortgage before I contact Key Navigation?

No. Home Navigation can help you understand your current readiness and decide what to address before speaking with a lender. You can contact Key Navigation with questions or a goal that still needs a plan.

What are the three Home Navigation support levels?

Level 1 is a $40, 60-minute consultation with a written action plan. Level 2 is $60 per month and includes two 45-minute meetings, progress support, plan updates, and limited communication for brief questions. Level 3 is $100 per month and provides hands-on document, application, deadline, and professional coordination.

Will Key Navigation pull or repair my credit?

No. If credit is relevant, you will obtain your own free reports through AnnualCreditReport.com and provide them through the approved process explained before paid work begins. Key Navigation can help you understand what appears on the reports and identify areas that may need attention, but does not pull credit, provide credit repair, dispute items on your behalf, or guarantee a score change. Never send a credit report, Social Security number, or account information through the website form.

What is included in full-service coordination?

Level 3 may include collecting and organizing documents, preparing a loan or program packet, submitting approved information with your authorization, coordinating with lenders, agencies, and other professionals, supporting applicable grant or down-payment assistance applications, attending meetings when needed, and tracking outstanding items and deadlines. The written service agreement defines the exact scope. Lenders and program administrators make all approval, loan, eligibility, and funding decisions.

Is real estate representation included in Level 3?

No. After preapproval, you may choose to engage L'quisha separately as your buyer's real estate agent. Home searches, showings, offers, inspections, negotiations, and closing support are handled under the appropriate separate real estate and buyer representation agreements.

Can Key Navigation help with a specific real-estate decision?

Use the individual inquiry to describe the buying, selling, or investment question. Key Navigation will confirm whether it falls within the available service scope or requires a referral to another professional.

For organizations

What kinds of organizations does Key Navigation work with?

Key Navigation serves community land trusts, affordable housing nonprofits, housing counseling agencies, community development organizations, homeownership programs, and nonprofits that are launching or strengthening housing programs or staff development.

How are consulting engagements priced?

Organizational consulting is proposal-based. The first conversation covers the program problem and the result the team needs. The proposal then lists the tasks, deliverables, responsibilities, timeline, and fee.

Can Key Navigation provide staff or community training?

Yes. Projects may include housing counseling staff training, HUD Housing Counselor Certification Exam preparation, ongoing professional development, homebuyer education workshop development, curriculum, and participant materials. The audience, goals, format, and materials are defined in the proposal.

Can Key Navigation help us prepare for HUD agency approval?

Yes. Key Navigation can help review program readiness and prepare the program information and supporting documentation needed for a HUD housing counseling agency application. HUD makes the final approval decision.

Workshops

How much is the Homeownership Boot Camp?

The public Homeownership Boot Camp is $60 per participant.

Is the boot camp online?

Yes. The public boot camp is a three-day live Zoom workshop. The next dates and daily session times will be shared when registration opens.

What will I leave with?

Participants receive plain-language instruction about the home-buying process, lender expectations and loan-product considerations, then use that context to create a customized action plan.

Getting started and privacy

How much is a discovery call?

Discovery calls are free and approximately 30 minutes. The call is used to understand your needs, answer general questions, and identify the service that may fit. It does not include a detailed credit review, written action plan, document review, or consulting deliverable.

What should I include in the first message?

Briefly describe what you are trying to do and the question you most want to discuss. Select an individual or organizational path so the intake reaches the right service. Keep private records out of the form.

What should I keep out of the website form?

Do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, credit reports, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive records. If documents are needed later, Key Navigation will explain the approved process.

Does Key Navigation replace a lender, attorney, financial adviser, or other licensed professional?

No. Each service has a defined scope, and Key Navigation will identify when a question requires another licensed or specialized professional.
